Public Speaking Workshop
On Wednesday, November 13th, 2024, JEF Malta, Malta Model United Nations (MaltMUN), and the University of Malta Debating Union (MUDU) hosted a Public Speaking Workshop to help attendees improve their public speaking skills. Unlike typical workshops, this event was divided into two parts. The first featured a seminar by Michelle Fenech Seguna, founder of ‘Speak to Move,’ who shared her 20+ years of C-level experience and top tips for engaging audiences. In the second part, attendees were split into three groups and tasked with delivering 1-minute speeches, judged by Michelle along with two other experienced speakers, Nikos Chirchop and Matthew Micallef St John. This hands-on session gave attendees a chance to apply what they had learned and compete for a spot in the top 3 who further competed to win a tablet, cinema tickets and a 100 euro voucher.
The event was a huge success that saw a great number of attendees who gave excellent feedback after the event.
