Model European Union Strasbourg 2025
In April, our President Michael Gatt had the privilege of chairing and being a part of the organising team in the Model European Union Strasbourg, the most prestigious legislative simulation in Europe, hosted at the European Parliament.
Prior to the simulation, together with the other chairs, he contributed by preparing the Rules of Procedure to make sure they are up to scratch for their latest edition. During the simulation itself, he took on the role of Vice-President of the European Parliament, in which I had the opportunity to work with my his co-chairs. He ensured the debate on the proposals by the Commission, the Directive on Traineeships and the Regulation for establishing the Digital Euro respectively were moderated properly and led to fruitful discussions.
This simulation is one of the best in Europe, and he encourages anyone who is interested to be involved in future editions, as it could be an excellent opportunity for all.
