Youth Network Event

JEF Malta’s Vice President and International Officer, Isaac Rizzo, was present at this year’s Youth Network Event in Brussels, together with JEF Europe and other sections.

The event comprised of around 100 representatives of student organisations from around Europe to discuss the way forward on how to keep youths engaged through low-cost and effective projects.

It gave participants the opportunity to speak about youth engagement after the European Elections and how the European Parliament can help youth organisations reach out better and keep young people engaged in European affairs.

JEF Malta highlighted the importance of not ceasing engagement with European citizens in between elections so as to maintain interest in European affairs, especially youth. In addition, maintaining engagement would also help not only combat the far right’s rhetoric but also help bring meaningful change towards a more united and ultimately Federal Europe as well as a European Union strong enough to withstand the tumultuous situation around the globe.

All this whilst networking with like-minded youth and exploring new avenues for cooperation with other organisations that have the same goals.
